Introduction
Swivl is a video observation tool that works with a variety of differing mobile devices and is perfect for:
Formal teaching and learning observations
Creating a repository of 'best practise' examples as a school / group / district
Remote observations
Student project recordings and evaluations
Distance learning courses
Flipped learning
How does it work?
You connect an iOS or Android device to the base robot - this will trigger a request to download the Swivl app onto the device.
After you have set this up, you can create an account but otherwise you can opt to record the video straight onto the mobile device.
Each robot comes with 1 x marker - in essence a clicker with the ability to perform many functions as well as a built in microphone and tracking sensor that works with the robot base unit.
You are ready to go... press the 'record' button on the marker and the robot base unit will track your movement around your classroom and record both your audio and video via the connected mobile device.
The robot base unit can support up to 5 x markers and you can record multiple camera feeds (up to 5 x devices) if you opt for the Pro Plus membership package.
